Today was the first day of spring and a beautiful one it was too. I spent a few hours in the vegetable garden, getting a few jobs done. I couldn’t help but notice the 7-spot ladybirds breeding, my garden is a magnet for them at the moment.
They certainly seemed to be enjoying the warm sunshine. Ahem! Record your ladybird sightings at: http://www.ladybird-survey.org

Ladybirds make me smile.

Ladybirds make me smile too, although these particular ‘couples’ made me giggle!

/ March 21, 2012Lots of ladybirds around here too. The weather has been lovely but even here in Wales the ground is quite dry. Some overnight rain would be good.

/ March 21, 2012Ha ha @ Elaine! That’s exactly what my ‘other half’ called it!
Karen
/ March 21, 2012Val, you’re right, they’re at it again today!

/ March 22, 2012I guess you’re lucky that Ladybirds are so small with all that ‘activity’ going on in your garden ;)
Thanks for the Ladybird link too – I do the hedgehog one but wasn’t aware of this one.
